Natural Community Services (NCS) is a premier ecological restoration design-build and natural resources consulting firm based in Southeast Michigan. Our mission is to conserve and restore the biological function and beauty of local ecosystems using native plants.

We specialize in assessing natural communities and landscapes, invasive species control, ecological design-build, and stewardship maintenance of all types of green infrastructure and wildlife habitats. NCS focuses on native plant restoration, which involves using local-genotype plants to replace invasive species, especially lawn and exotic brush species/invasive shrubs. NCS uses native plantings associated in natural history and visual harmony with various habitats, such as oak savannas, prairie meadows, and forests. We offer services to improve wildlife habitat through ecological restoration and sustainable landscaping, including rain gardens and butterfly gardens, natural shores, park and farm pollinator buffers, reforestation, and more!
