Ken and Shelly Hoganson and family have owned the pristing 150 acres for over 40 years.  The BBF has three major ecological goals:   (1)research, education resource site, growing, and sale of Michigan native plants; (2) research, education resource site, and restoration of an Oak-Pine Barren ecosystem (~40 acres); and (3) research, education resource site, and restoration of wetlands (~ 40 acres).
