Designs By Nature - UP Native Plants, LLC (UP Native Plants), is a native plant nursery located in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. UP Native Plants offers pesticide-free wildflowers, grasses, and garden kits to make adding native plants to your landscape easy and fun. All plants are native to Michigan, from Michigan seed, specializing in UP genotypes whenever possible. They offer plug flats for habitat restoration and remediation of larger areas. The nursery is state licensed and inspected and certified environmentally responsible through the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program. Wholesale and custom growing is available.

UP Native Plants has provided plants for state, federal, and tribal organization habitat projects; education centers; service organizations; site remediation; landscaping; and home-owners.  Retail sales are conveniently available through their website, with pickup by appointment late May through November (weather permitting).  For in-person plant shopping, UP Native Plants vends at Farmer’s Markets throughout the U.P. and supplies wholesale plants for Conservation District and non-profit organization plant sales throughout the Upper Peninsula.
